Also on display are some bottles of “Zeca” wine, the nickname by which the hotel’s founder, José Nicolau Fernandes Correia, is known. 300 numbered bottles of this commemorative wine were produced for Mr. Zeca’s 80th birthday. It is a special blend created by winemaker Jorge Ventura from grapes grown in the vineyards of Quinta da Lapa (Tagus) to celebrate this anniversary. Made from Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Nacional and Merlot grapes, this wine was aged in oak barrels for 12 months and can be purchased at our hotel.
