O edif\u00edcio restaurado do s\u00e9culo XVIII, pintado em ocre com uma tinta \u00e0 base de cal, vai buscar a cor recorrente nas fortalezas da Madeira e o rosa, t\u00e3o comum nas quintas madeirenses, foi mantido na zona da biblioteca, respeitando a cor j\u00e1 existente nesta parte do im\u00f3vel. A amarelo, o edif\u00edcio que corresponde \u00e0 mans\u00e3o senhorial do s\u00e9culo XIX, demolida nos anos 80, mas cuja reconstru\u00e7\u00e3o respeitou a volumetria e no lado oposto, os tr\u00eas pr\u00e9dios do in\u00edcio do s\u00e9culo XX, da Rua das Pretas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">No pavimento do jardim foram aplicadas as poucas lajes antigas recuperadas do interior da padaria, criando uma mem\u00f3ria do que existia, e completadas com lajes recentes de cantaria rija, rocha vulc\u00e2nica dura e de cor cinzenta. A cantaria dura e a cantaria mole, rocha pirocl\u00e1stica com varia\u00e7\u00e3o crom\u00e1tica entre o vermelho, castanho e amarelo, coexistem no arco e nas ombreiras das portas e janelas. O facto de o pr\u00e9dio ter sido nivelado para uma cota mais baixa levou a adapta\u00e7\u00f5es nas aberturas de portas e janelas, o que implicou a necessidade de introduzir algumas pe\u00e7as de cantaria, que cortadas a direito, diferenciam as recentes das originais.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Pormenor curioso e revelador do rebaixamento da cota \u00e9 o antigo escoadouro de \u00e1guas pluviais, que estar junto ao solo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">O p\u00e1tio da esplanada \u00e9 de cal\u00e7ada de calhau cortado, num padr\u00e3o linear monocrom\u00e1tico e os muros que o circundam s\u00e3o em blocos de basalto, rocha predominante na Madeira.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Mais Heritage&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_basic_grid post_type=&#8221;post&#8221; max_items=&#8221;3&#8243; orderby=&#8221;rand&#8221; item=&#8221;mediaGrid_SlideInTitle&#8221; grid_id=&#8221;vc_gid:1696762497502-49dad1c3-aec8-6&#8243; taxonomies=&#8221;22&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>O jardim \u00e9 o espa\u00e7o ideal para uma viagem de tr\u00eas s\u00e9culos de hist\u00f3ria e de arquitetura urbana atrav\u00e9s da cor.
